Now you might be wondering why and are you holding this $1 2050 and $100? Bill? Well, these bills have everything to do with you and your business. But it’s not what you think it’s not like flashing cash. It’s about the questions you’re asking. Right. One of the most common questions that people are asking is, Dan, how can I charge more for my services and products? How can I attract more clients? How can I build more relationships with people? And these dollars have everything to do with being able to do that? Again, but it’s not what you probably think. Right? See, one of the big mistakes that I made early on in my business that cost me a lot of money is related to the message. Right? Now don’t turn off because you go, I’ve heard this before. No, you haven’t heard it probably this way. In fact, I was just speaking to a very well known advisor and consultant, who’s worked with some of the top experts in the world. And we were, you know, in a conversation yesterday afternoon, at the time, we’re doing this, I asked him, I said, Well, what do you do? And so as normal, he just Firehose out what he does, but it was a little convoluted, it wasn’t completely clear, it was a little messy, was a little confusing, even. It sounded like it was some of this and some of that. And I said, Well, hey, if you had to narrow it down, like in a handful of words, what would you say you do? And then he got clear and work a little bit and got clear. And I said, Well, I’ve got a simple thing for you. Like, what’s a question? That you would ask somebody that lead, it tells the problem of what you do? Like, how would you say that? And he goes, Well, you know, you know, how a lot of people struggle to create content and write email copy. And I said, Well, yes, I know, a lot of people. In fact, almost everybody, I mean, almost every client, I mean, struggles with that, by that by itself. Even the most successful peoples would say they struggle with it. And he goes, what we do, is we create high converting campaigns with using content and email. And I said, Well, why don’t you just say that, and I said, I want you to do me a favor, I said, do me a favor. And the next time you go to a networking event, or a mastermind or what you know, a toast, whatever you your your thing, and they do the element, or whatever it’s called the introduction, or an elevator pitch, or, you know, whatever that is, instead of when someone like me asked you, what do you do, and you launch into like, Oh, I do this, this, and I solve this and avoid this and all that. Timeout, instead ask the question. And the question is, do you struggle? Do you worry Do you have issues with and then fill in the blank in a simple way? And then keep it short with your message? Because here’s the thing, let’s go back to the dollar bill. And I’ll finish this up in a second. So bear with me here. As we go through this. See, you know what I got here. I got $1. Bill, I got a $20. Bill, I got a $50. Bill, I got $100 bill right now, in and of themselves, they are what they are. But isn’t it fascinating that if I put all of these builds up together, they’re all exactly the same exact size, aren’t they? They’re all the same exact weight, every single one of them weighs the same, don’t they kind of like your business, you have competition, right? Or other people in your industry. Or maybe you would say I don’t have any competition, but I get that. But there’s people kind of like you, but it sounds the same, it looks the same, it feels the same same way, same size, same color ink is being used on each and every one of these, there is only one difference between this bill. And this bill, that makes it 20 times more valuable. What is it? It’s the message on the paper? Isn’t that write the message on the paper? And then what makes the difference between that Bill and this bill, the message on the paper? And what is the difference between this one and this one the message, when you have a great message, you attract more people, you convert more clients far more easily. In fact, you go from having to sell people to actually people buying from you like an apple like a Nike like a Starbucks and the list goes on and on. Right? Well, what would that be worth to you be able to get that kind of a simple system in place. So what I encourage you to do when we’re done here today, number one, if this is making sense to you, and it resonate, this is just one little simple, small strategy. But the next time you’re out and someone says, Well, what do you do? Mary, what do you do? Bob, what do you do, Mike, what do you do? What do you do? What do you do? Instead of launching and I saw this and I avoid help people avoid? Why? Why don’t you start with a question? Do you know how a lot of people struggle with worry about X, whatever x is, and then give them your simple overview of what that is like one of one of the people that we’re working with, you know, she is a therapist and amazing therapy. Amazing. And her message was a little convoluted. We said, well, what’s the number one thing you hear from people? She says anxiety I said, Well, what if you just go out and go? Well, yeah, a lot of people struggle with anxiety. There’s so many people that even that don’t really struggle with it think they might or have a family member they might just what does it do? It pulls people in, doesn’t it Plus it makes you different than everybody else because everybody’s doing the firehose version. I solve X and avoid help people avoid the pain. Oh, why? Which isn’t terrible. But if you want to captivate someone’s attention, what do you do is you just ask a question, the power of question, you keep the question simple. And then you keep your message simple. And it pulls people in. And she went from, you know, this very convoluted. I’ve worked with executives and CEOs, high achievers, all this stuff. Do you have a lot of people struggle with anxiety? Yep. Well, what we do is we have a simple solution that helps people are minimize their anxiety in 15 minutes or less, well, who wouldn’t want that? That Potat? Can I get that salute? What is that? Like? Are you leaning into the question the problem that someone has by opening a question to them to create a dialogue with people instead of just putting it out, almost like they’re sitting in a seminar taking notes, don’t get into conversation with people, the best way to start a conversation is to ask someone what, you know the answer, we’ve been doing this a long time your human being asked a question, right.
